Shall I compare thee…

Place: Riverview Auditorium

Poison: Diet Coke

Favourite things: Riverview Music Team, rehearsing!

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?

Thou are more lovely and more temperate.

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,

And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.

Sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shines,

And often is his gold complexion dimmed;

And every fair from fair sometime declines,

By chance, or nature’s changing course untrimmed.

But thy eternal summer shall not fade

Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st;

Nor shall death brag thou wand’rest in his shade,

When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st,

So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,

So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

William Shakespeare

Although today was nothing like a summer’s day, it was a fine one indeed. Started with a coffee and a stroll, then a brief drop in on some breakfast lovin, then bridesmaids shopping, finished with a catnap in the arvo! Who can complain about that.

Whilst shopping with Miss Elly and Tam, I found Morrison’s, new summer catalogue which Shakespeare’s finest sonnet was spotted throughout.

Here’s a toast to a hot chocolate, with lots of marshmallow’s and syrypy type of winter’s day. I hope someone writes a poem like this about me one day, ‘When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st’

Am I like a summers day? Warm, embracing, inspiring and fresh!

the morning after…

Place: Farrell’s Cafe- Vic Park

Poison: Long Back

Favourite Things: Cream Scarf knitted by my gran!

Well, in true green tea cup style, ‘Operation Llama’ began last night. Its brief to sneak Belinda Rolle, ‘Kymmie’s’ younger sister into this great communist state of Western Australia, without her big sister knowing. Last night, with stealth and coffee, I sped away to the airport and picked her up. With the help of Polanski we snuck her into the Llama Bar, to surprise her big sis! What transposed after the discovery of this Gold Coast Refugee, was reminiscent of a 12 year old pyjama party in the midst of a 30 year old jazz/ funk club! Screaming, crying, sniffing and lots of jumping, created much curiosity amongst the USS marine core who were decorating the Subiaco haunch!

Anyways, it is the morning after, with much coffee, smiling and memories. How I love sisters, friendships, screaming, squealing, covert operations and most of all surprising the ones we love. Keep it real, Keep it interesting, Life is worth so much more than the bland boringness of the everyday. Captured!

Addict!

Place: Milkd- North Perth

Poison: Skinny Cappucino

Favourite Things: Bracelet from Annie!

I confess I have a personality that easily becomes addicted. The internet, coffee, people, love (with a capital L) I know it has something to do with my choleric-competitiveness-passion-filled-family heritage…

So I need to be careful as I start this blog as it could become an obsession. With my life being as it is, I need to watch what becomes foreground in the everyday.

Anyway, I hope whoever is reading this, gets inspiration wherever you are at…

Here’s to day one of Capture: ? days of inspiration (an extension of the book- get it if you don’t already, buy it for a friend if you do!)
