Walking through Patpong this evening, the red light prostitution district of Thailand, children selling themselves, teenagers offering their wares, I was so aware that I am far from my café served life with a long mac on the side.
How can I ever be the same when I hear that a child I met today hadn’t eaten for 10 days, when I got annoyed at 9pm this evening because I hadn’t yet filled my overstuffed appetite?
