I am in the land of fairy’s, peppa pig, boats made out of cardboard boxes, giggle and hoot and dress ups.
Today I am looking after a 3 year old and a 8 month old and I am taking a deep breath and smiling.
Play!
It reminds me of the quote ‘Every child is an artist, the trouble is staying one as they grow up.’
We all need to play.
Get down in the sand at the beach and build a sandcastle.
Find time to play with water in a bucket just because it feels so fresh.
Paint with our fingers and body because textures and colour together are delightful.
Make a cubby out of your bed and scream hide and seek.
One of my favourite times as an adult is when I throw of my cares and worries and play a little.
Scream
Cry
Laugh
Sneeze
Snort
Wail
Express
Colour in
Play.
When was the last time you were playful?
When was the last time you dressed up?
When was the last time you took yourself a little less seriously?
Play
Embrace the moment you are in.
Shout out all aboard and jump in a cardboard box and imagine a boat with a three year old.
You will never be the same again.
Play a little!
