Exhausted much?
Place: Brisbane airport
Poison: Pepsi max
Favorite things: coming home
My blog will be extremely short today, as I can’t guarantee that it will make sense.
(I just tried to write guarantee four times, hmm)
After an amazing weekend and a day at movie world with an 8 week old baby, my adrenalin has all run out.
Waking every 3 hours to feed, a 2 hour time difference on the back of a crazy week.
I’m not super human and neither are you, so there are times of necessary hibernation.
I am going into hibernation this week. I don’t really want to see anyone except my little family and stay home with my crocheting and my coffee machine.
After times of extreme adrenalin, it’s so important we plan times to recover. My husband had a bad case of adrenaline fatigue when we first met, he medicated with caffeine and eventually his body really suffered.
If your body was a fuel gauge, where are you sitting right now…exhausted much or full to overflowing…
If you are scarily close to empty, find a way refuel. Stop, recover and reassess…
Refuel.
Refresh.
Recover.
Exhausted much.

The aftermath
Place: surfers paradise
Poison: cold rock icecream
Favorite things: international friends
The morning after a big event is always my quandary. There is a afterglow of adrenalin, there are sore feet, sore heads, decorations to be packed up, suits to be dry cleaned and memories to be reminisced.
The hard tasks seem to take longer, the memories colour each conversation of the day.
Today has been an aftermath type of day. Not too much pack up or tasks, but a lot of memories, stories and solid conversations.
I love sharing moments and memories with a group of people. The stories to be told, the laughter to be shared, the photos to be captured.
I know that having friendships and long term friends can have their hard times. However the amazing moments in life, the afterglow of memories made, color our days with vivid tones.
Who do you share your memories and stories?
Are you celebrating moments with friends and remembering the hard and good times?
Retell your memories, make great moments and live life with those you love.
Delight in the afterglow of community,
I love it…

My love
Forever moments
Place: tambourine mountains
Poison: water
Favorite things: old churches
I am in the blissful glow of love. A old chapel, a garden full of tall trees, families have gathered, makeup applied, best outfits ironed and guitar strings tuned.
A dad walks in through the splash of sunshine, a little girl twirls and dancing delighted by the attention. The bride takes a deep breath, the groom sheds a tear and the service begins.
The priest cracks a joke, the grandmother coughs to choke the tears, a scripture reading is declared, a song celebrated and the moment unveils.
Hands are held, eyes are engaged, the moment is near and the love is palpable.
The musty smell of the old, combined with the mix of people’s favorite perfumed beaus. Cameras are clicking, vows are promised and declared.
Time, effort, money, planning, energy and care are taken all leading till this moment.
The moment when a ring is exchanged, a poem pronounced, a prayer is prayed and a kiss is lavished.
The moment has arrived, Mr and Mrs are committed and a new life has begun.
In life there are moments that define us. Those vows we make change who we are, they cannot be taken lightly and should be remembered always. A new name is bestowed to declare the definition of the moment. The couple are irrevocably different.
Are there vows you have made that you have forgotten the bliss in the moment?
Are there vows you have made that you need to revisit?
Scripture says a three corded rope cannot be easily broken. Meaning when these vows are declared, man, woman and God are combined and the rope is uneasily unthreaded.
Marriage is a beautiful gift.
Hold that gift lightly.
Forever moments
