Poison: Water

Favourite Things: My Claudine!

My beautiful friend Coli, who is a lover of people life and love, is in desperate need of prayer right now. She is 30 years old with 3 young children and yesterday as she was playing a game of Basketball she had a heart attack.

She is now in intensive care and is fighting for her life. I am believing that the prognosis from the doctors will change and that we will have a miracle. She is in a coma right now and I am asking for your help.

Please pray for healing and that she will miraculously survive this crazy thing.

All my love to her family and friends.

Coli you have always inspired me and always will

forever

MY DADS BIRTHDAY!!

Place: In Bed

Poison: Altoids

Favourite Things: My Dad of course…

Well today is My Dad’s birthday and I’m not sure what part of the world he is in today… I am assuming somewhere random overseas, in Asia somewhere.

See my dad works away a lot and I dont get to see him very often, but when I do there is something in me that is so deeply calmed. There is nothing quite like your Dad walking into the room and whether your 5 or 30, your heart stops and you take a deep breath and everything feels okay again.

My Dad is one of the most creative people I know. He can make anything out of nothing and is so skilled when it comes to mechanical things. He loves people and most of all loves our family.

When I see him with his Grandson Jackson he just lights up. I miss not seeing my Dad all the time and whilst I am here in LA and he is (Dad where are you right now?) I wanted him to know how much I love him and so appreciate everything he gave me growing up.

Our childhood was amazing, creative, loving, safe and fun! You worked so hard, so that us kids could have the best and now that I am all grown up I see how much you and Mum sacrificed so us kids could have the best of what you could give.

Dad, I’m so proud of you and would not want another DAD in the world.

I cant give you a present because we are miles away from one another, but what I can give you is a present of words and love straight from my heart.

MIss you terribly…When are you in Perth again?

Happy, Happy Birthday…Have a beer for me.

A Toast to my ONE AND ONLY!!
Love Forever

GREASE AND STUDIO 60

Place: In Bed

Poison: Nothing

Favourite Things: I’m coming home, to my own bed and milkd cafe!!

With 160something channels on Cable TV here, you’d think that I would have hundreds of programs that I am desperatly going to miss when I go back to 4 channel Australia.

But mostly I wont miss the tacky, weird tv including the random medical adverts with explicit information that I am sure minors do not need to know! (side note though, the adverts in the superbowl are amazing- check out this site: www.myspace.com/superspots The snickers one was my favourite hands down!)

No I wont miss the ‘underaged and engaged show’, ‘WWF uncut show’ or the proflific shopping channels that no matter the time of day, use way too much hairspray!

I will miss two shows that have completely captured my attention though…

1) ‘Grease- your the one that I want’ A new version of Idol, but the search is on for the newest broadway couple to star in a Musical theatre Debut of Grease, on the Broadway stage.

2) ‘Studio 60’- A show that every week follows the lives, highs, lows and craziness of a live television show. It mirrors so much of my life and it is so interesting, funny and emotive. LOVE IT! www.nbc.com

Anyways- I fly back to Australia tomorrow, and truly am hanging out to see my office, my staff and my bed!

Have loved this trip, but am now tripped out…

Goodbye, Grease- your the one that I want and Studio 60, the new friends I have made, my old friends that I have rekindled friendships with, goodbye the land of plenty and everything large.

Hello- Perth, my love, my home and my friends.

Hmmmm

stranger than fiction

Place: In Bed

Poison: Milk Duds

Favourite Things: Cable TV

We went to the movies this afternoon, ($1.50 later!!) after spending the morning sorting stuff out for work and watched a quirky movie called ‘Stranger than fiction’.It ended quite a thought provoking piece!

The movie followed a character, played by Will Farrow, who was the main protaganist in a novel being written concurrently with his life. I won’t tell you the ending but this flick had the same sort of essence as the cult movie ‘Adaptation’.

What I am thinking about, post flick, is that all of our lives have a narrator, but are we aware of it? There are many stories that have unfolded on this trip that are unbloggable, times of testing, stretching and one even includes being asked to leave a plane! Yes! I have officially been kicked off a plane.

But what has been running through my mind in these past few weeks is, what am I supposed to be learning here and how am I responding to what is being thrown at the plotline of my life?

I know I make my own decisions, but what about the things that have come my way that I absolutely have no option but to take head on and see where the plot ends afterwards. Is there a narrator to my story and how do I listen carefully to learn from the wisdom given by its perspective.

Life does have a intro, middle and end. Most have a prelude and an epilouge as well given by familial context.

I want to live my life heavenward, listening for the cheat notes and finding out the sub-plots, mini dramas and the twists and turns. I want to live my life large and leave a novel that entices the reader to want more…

Milk and cookies anyone?

Guitar fender or bland?

Baker with tattoo’s or a hat?

Space camp or tax office?

Watch the movie to understand these questions…

Perplexed?

Think so.
